About Car Ji

Car Ji is a new-car research site for India. It shows what a car costs and what you get for the money: variant by variant, and city by city.

Prices: the ex-showroom price of every variant, and an estimated on-road price for your city.
Specifications: engine, mileage, dimensions, safety and features for each variant.
Comparisons: put up to four variants side by side, from the same car or different ones.

How we estimate on-road prices

The price on the window sticker is not what you pay. To the ex-showroom price we add the charges that apply in your state and city:

Road tax, using your state's rules for the car's price and fuel type, including any EV or CNG concessions;
Registration, including the smart card and number plate (HSRP) fees;
Insurance: the mandatory third-party premium plus an estimate of own-damage cover;
TCS on cars priced above ₹10 lakh, a FASTag, and typical dealer handling charges.

The result is an estimate, and every on-road price on the site is marked as one. Dealers' quotes differ with insurance choices, accessories, offers and timing, so always confirm the final price with an authorised dealer.
